So many people live with asthma and breathing problems these days! Is it the way of the world or just the law of averages?
There are such a lot of people in the world now so has asthma become more common because of the amount of people? Attacks happen when the airway closes up and breathing becomes difficult. It is most distressing and horrible to witness. Panic usually occurs which then exacerbates the problem. It becomes a vicious circle. Severe attacks can result in hospitalisation on a nebuliser and even cause death. What a horrible thought!
We could always blame global warming!
Another theory is that it could be due to impurities in the air due to more traffic, all the CFC’s that are used in toiletries and cleaning materials. Destroying the ozone layer etc! Could it be genetic or hereditary? Whatever the cause it isn’t a pleasant complaint!
Even the very young can be sufferers of asthma and breathing problems.
So what can we do about it?
There are the obvious remedies like prescribed medication from the doctor, usually inhalers, which can be enough to keep the symptoms at bay.
A steamy type atmosphere can help so inhaling over a bowl of steaming water with a towel over your head can make breathing easier.
There are also the vapour type remedies containing eucalyptus which help clear the airways.
Using ioniser’s to gather up the dust and small particles out of the atmosphere which will prevent you from inhaling them and clogging up your airways.
